Alvin Brown
Director
Alvin Jason Brown Qualified since 2003 as a HVAC technician. Self made, he worked his way up the ranks. Leaving school and home when he matriculated in 1995, Found himself employed with a few old school HVAC companies where he gained knowledge in the trade while studying part time. He found “home” in the “YORK MIAC” Family, now known as “Johnson Controls”, This is where his Passion and hunger for the industry Evolved.
His knowledge and experience expanded way beyond his years during his time there, being thrown into what some may call the very deep end. But with Passion, Grit and determination that very few see …and the trusty manual (yes this male reads instructions) He rose and became one of the very best technicians the industry has seen.
Alvin moved on to working for a few well known players in the KZN industry, even becoming an exceptional Service manager, despite his lack of managerial training.
His natural Leadership qualities sprouted and a Director was Born. Very few get the balance right, but over the years Alvin has definitely mastered the art. Being an amazing father to three beautiful children, and a devoted husband to his lovely wife who definitely needs a medal after 17 years (everybody knows being married to HVAC tech is no joke)
With more than 24 years experience in the Industry Alvin has been Founder / Sole Owner of Thermal Dynamics & Engineering cc for just over 10 years, est 2009, and acquired JNC Thermal Systems cc in 2015, successfully moving Thermal dynamics from Very humble beginnings from a double garage to a well oil machine in Westmead. Both companies run in tandum from these premises under one roof sharing resources and expertise.
Tamryn Lund
Finance Manager
Tamryn Lund is our Financial Manager and has been part of our team since 2016
Tamryn runs a tight ship, and is driven by processes and procedures. She is very meticulous with the finances and running of the administration department.
She is a devoted mother of three, and loves spending time with her family.
Paul des Tombe
Service Manager
Paul des Tombe is our service manager and has been part of the team since 2014, prior to which he ran his own successful company in the HVAC industry for 17 years
Originally from Zimbabwe he qualified through APV Hall in 1985. Paul approaches the challenges of the HVAC industry with practical solutions and is backed up by a team of qualified, experienced technicians.
Paul can be relied on to always be approachable by our customers for any quoting and break down requirements.
Jay Anderson
STORES SUPERVISOR
Jay joined Thermal Dynamics and Engineering two years ago after spending ten years in the shelving and racking game. A big change but one he was willing to grab with both hands. As the buyer and store man, Jay has a lot on his plate but he is always willing to help out where he can.
In Jay’s spare time he runs a cat sanctuary and is an avid PC enthusiast. On most weekends you will no doubt see him with a cat on his lap or at his computer.
